Who am I

I am Henry, an educator from Trinidad and Tobago. My focus in the business of Distance Edcuation. I am a member of the Distance Education Unit, the unit charged with the responsibility of promoting Distance Education in Trindad and Tobago. OUr Unit is located on Abercromby Street, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. We are in the process of setting up the National Open School of Trinindad and Tobago. We hope in this project to set up twenty NOSTT Centres. We are also involved in other projects in Distance Education e.g.

• Photo-Connec This is a project involving the use of cameras-both still and video to produce stories about different communities. Students are encouraged to work as teams under the guidance of their teachers.

• ICT Training. We are also involved in ICT training where we offer training in Cisco [[1]] and ICDL[[2]]

• Cyberfair. This is an competition which consists of two segments- a local competition involving primary and secondary schools. The school teams are given seven areas for research and are then guided by their teacher to do research on a choosen topic and them publish the results of this research on a website for public viewing.
