Brief Profile

Dr. Patrique deGraft-Yankson’s background is in Art Education. He is a professionally trained teacher with over twenty eight years’ experience in teaching and research at all the levels of education in Ghana – basic, secondary and tertiary. He is also a practicing graphic designer with special interests in digital and multimedia design.

His research interests include investigations into pedagogical implications of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in Art Education in Ghana. He is currently engaged in a project code-named ICTC4VA (Information and Communication Technology Considerations for Visual Art). The project seeks to address fundamental issues associated with the development of framework for effective integration of ICTs in the Ghanaian senior high school visual art curriculum. He is also actively involved in several studies in aesthetics and semiotic perspective of Ghanaian symbolism and Iconography.
