Who I am

My name is Isaac Ipara Odeo. I am an Associate Professor of Kiswahili Language at the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology located in Kakamega; Kakamega is a rural town situated about 20 kilometres from the Equator and bordering the Great Equatorial Forest in the Western Province of Kenya.

I have been teaching Kiswahili at undergraduate and graduate level since 2004.In the last two years I have been involved in the development of a Teacher Accreditation Programme.The product of this venture has been the developmment of a Certificate in Global Education and Linkages where I teach two modules namely :

1. Personal and Professional Development.
2. Action Research.

Currently I am the Director of the School of Open Learning and Continuing Education{SOLACE}.The SOLACE is mandated to coordinate Cetificate and Diploma programmes and has so far been able to mount the following academic programmes:

• Diploma in Business |Management
• Certificate in Ethics and Corruption |Studies
