Ambassador-bridge.jpgMy profile

My name is Cathie Loesing. I work for the University of Missouri system in the eMINTS program which provides professional development for K-12 teachers. I am taking this course because I am interested in creating wikitexts for elementary students. I have a lot to learn, and I can't wait!

An applie for a teacher.Professional background

I have been a classroom teacher, school librarian, and technology intergration specialist for the public school district in Columbia, Missouri. In my present position, I help create and coordinate training for K-12 teachers. Our training embeds the use of technology into best practice teaching.

Certificate.jpgEducation

I grew up in Boonville, Missouri. I graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Elem. Ed. and later received a M.Ed. in Ed. Tech.

My interests

OrteliusWorldMap1570.jpgTravel

I love to travel and have several trips in mind.

  • Italy
  • Alaska
  • Hawaii (again!)
  • Mexican ruins

Bookstacked.jpgBooks

I read everyday. I don't always even care what I am reading. I end each day by reading at least a few pages.

100px-L4C-small.png  Agreement
By signing this optional learning contract I will try to complete my training in basic wiki editing skills to achieve the status of a Wikibuddy. In return for this free training opportunity, I will give the gift of knowledge by donating or developing at least one free content resource licensed under a CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license which can be used by myself (and others) on WikiEducator.

Inserting Links

  • This is the eMINTS website.
  • one of my new (to me) favorite's is Prezi
  • I'm not sure if this is considered "internal" or "external" Wikijunior Since it doesn't have wikieducator in the URL, I guess it is an external link.
