Hello!! My name is Kipli and I am an instructional designer with the UPNG Open College in Papua New Guinea. I was briefly exposed to the Wikieducator whilst attending the COL Samoa Bootcamp for VUSSC in November 2007. When I returned to my country, I found it difficult to review this page regularly as the internet connectivity is not so good. I am now on Study Leave (from 2011-2013) in Japan and am back online. I hope to make as much use of WikiEducator as I can while I have this opportunity.
I am very interested in learning more about the features of the wikieducator and how it can be used in my country. Accessibilty to the internet is one problem that most Papua New Guineans face, but I know it is positive step forward and a challenge to begin Wiki projects because in time things will change and more people will have access to the internet.
- Learn more from wikieducators (both locally and abroad) about the uses and features of the Wikieducator.
- Collaborate with Wiki members in PNG to run basic Wiki training to other educators.
- Join and actively participate in a Wiki project in the near future.
- Research into how e-learning can best be adapted in developing countries with low bandwidth.
