My research revolves around the design of innovative learning experiences with appropriate uses of new technology.

I am currently a Research Officer at the London Knowledge Lab, Institute of Education, University of London. Previously I was a researcher at the IDEAs Lab, School of Cognitive Science, The University of Sussex.

Current projects include:

  • VeSeL - designing technology enhanced learning with and for rural communities in Kenya.
  • e-Science Usability - designing innovative participatory science learning activities with school children, teachers and scientists.

I have been involved in the organisation of a number of workshops for academics and teachers, most recently Human Centered Design for Development at HCI 2007. At the PCF5 I am involved in organising a workshop on PCF5: Learning to Design Technology Enhanced Learning for Rural Livelihoods & Development.
