mgi Hi there!! This is Jayganesh Dawosing of Les Guibies Pailles, Port Louis.

I work as Research Officer in the Department of Bhojpuri, Folklore n Oral Traditions''at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Moka of Mauritius. I have B.A Joint Humanities in Hindi n French.Presently, i am doing my MRes in Research Methodology at the University of Mauritius.

I enjoy mountaineering n nature exploring a lot. Rivers, mountains, birds n lakes are my closest frens in life!!

Born on the 12 of January 1981, I am Capricorn which make me ambitious, materialist and of adabtable nature.

Actually, in my Department we are working on a very interesting project: Traditional Musical Instruments in Mauritius, Rodrigues and Outer Islands.In it, we are covering religious and social aspects of the instrumens as well their traditional way of making and its evolution with time.

Aims

The aims of my Department is to preserve,promote and disseminate culture through recordings. The recorded data are then analysed and then work accordingly.
