My Profile

Cathy James-Springer.

Professional Background

I am currently a Chemistry Lecturer at Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. I have 13 years of experience as a teacher at secondary school and community colledge. My Department offers Advanced Level Certificates and is moving toward going beyond Associate Degree Level Courses to the development of University level courses.

Apart from my full time assignment, I am also an e-tutor. This I enjoy immensely as it gives me the opportunity to meet people from all over the Carribean who are able to share their experiences with us in the e-classroom. In fact it is this experience and My Masters Degree mode that sparked my interest in instructional Technology.

Education

Professional

In my professional life I beleive in the growth of the entire individual. At this level I would like to learn more about computer technology and education how it can be used not only in the classroom, but in private institutions as well. Education after all is not limited to school. There is room for continuous growth in any job.

Personal

To enbrace life and all that it brings. Stay close to family and friends they are your support in good and bad.

If so, what are your concerns? If not, how does an open authoring approach contribute to high quality learning materials?--Phil Bartle 14:34, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
