Course - Flexible Learning (Level 7 – 10 Credits) - Educational Development Centre, Otago Polytechnic - Formal enrolment or informal study (free).Starting: 27th July to 27th November - informal enrolment is also invited.This open, online course is designed to help you access, interpret and share information about flexible learning with others in the field. You will be supported to develop a plan for flexible learning in your workplace, and engage in professional dialogue about the subject. If working at a pace of 5-6 hrs per week, the course will take approximately 17 weeks to complete, unless you study informally and then enrol to be assessed.Each participant works to create a flexible learning plan, and this is done primarily through the use of an individual weblog. The weblog is integrated into the assessment for the course. Facilitators (Bronwyn Hegarty and Leigh Blackall) are available to assist your progression through the course, and will help you set up an individual negotiated learning plan at the start. The facilitators will also coordinate events aimed at encouraging exchanges with professionals in the field.
Open accessIn this course, the facilitators use a course blog and an email discussion forum for regular communication with participants, and also a course wiki for the learning material.Formal or informal enrollment?Participation in this course is free and open.
