Hi--my name is Graham Stott.
I'm teaching in Palestine at the Arab American University. (Hence the pal in aardvarkpal; don't ask about the aardvark!) At the moment I'm in the Modern Languages Department (i.e. English), but I'm involved in setting up our Department of Education and might transfer.
Oxford, Southampton and Brigham Young for the standard degrees (BA, MPhil, PhD), then (somewhat more useful) an MSc from Lancaster in IT and Learning.
Eclectic. I guess my research specialty is early Mormonism, but I'm also working on other projects as varied as how to teach EFL reading skills in an oral culture, and how Pride and Prejudice revisits and updates Pamela.
Film. Getting to know Ubuntu 10.4 (Windows priced me out--but I'm developing a genuine--not sour grapes--preference for Linux). Lot's of little interests but nothing approaching the obsessive.
My wiki projects
My optional community service (learning contract) project
||By signing this optional learning contract I will try to complete my training in basic wiki editing skills to achieve the status of a Wikibuddy. In return for this free training opportunity, I will give the gift of knowledge by donating or developing at least one free content resource licensed under a CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license which can be used by myself (and others) on WikiEducator.|
|Brief description of project||To be determined as I see how Wikis can be used.|
|Target date for completion||August 15.|

- Hi Graham, Kudos for jumping in. Your user page is coming along. I read your introduction. I will try to ignore the "aardvark" :-), and kudos again for getting the picture in there. Day 4 of the tutorials presents info on basic text editing. As you become more skilled, feel free to revise and adapt your userpage as you like. Oh, and thanks for signing the learning contract--look forward to seeing your contribution. <smile>, --Alison Snieckus 01:34, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
