Global Tourism Planning

Tourism strategies are critical to the planning of tourism nationally and globally. Many destinations forumulate strategies that concentrate on key areas of the tourism industry including the accommodation, transport, attractions activities and ancillary services areas. Factors that are particularly relevant to tourism strategies must include cultural, social, enviromental and economic factors. The balance between positive and negative factors is essential.

Tourism Policy Planning is part of the global tourism planning focus however the need for appropriate strategies in reference to marketing, and growth and development are also important. Countries including New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Germany, South Africa and the United Kingdom have developed National Tourism strategies to aid in the development of their individual national tourism strategies.
