This relates to featured Wikied project

Jump to: navigation, search

On the Wikied email list there has been some discussion about featuring Wikied projects each month. The discussion stemmed from a suggestion for quality checks and peer review, but on agreement that quality can be too specific for the diverse projects in Wikied, it was felt that simply featuring a project each month based on interest, uniqueness, popularity or other unspecified reason :) would be a good way to celebrate the diversity in Wikied and promote awareness and collaboration.

This webconference project could be a good way to help facilitate one aspect of that monthly feature by hosting a presentation and discussion around what is featured. It will build an audio record of the monthly features and stimulate awareness and collaboration.

Hi Leigh,

You're right - there are strong connections between this discussion and initial thoughts on establishing a quality assurance and review framework on WE.

The notion of featured WE projects is one of the proposals on the table. In addition there are a growing number of proposals emerging on how to promote and support quality in our community.

So I'd encourage all WikiEducators to take a look at the developments so far and to add their thoughts and suggestions in helping us turn WE into the best educational wiki in the world!

Cheers Wayne
