Quality of the responses?

Jump to: navigation, search

Louise - if this a draft, I am very impressed :) My question is related to your data collection method: you have stated one of your collection methods will be "Lecturer assessing the discussion board regularly over a two week period to assess participation and to assess the quality of the responses to the questions asked". Do you have a rubic[1] or checklist to enable you to check for the "quality" aspect of the student responses? e.g. must include 1 reference, states clearly the link/relationship to question, etc. I seem to remember back in the deep dark depths of my memory some references we were given but will have to have a hunt around my old study favourites & see if I can locate it ... you have done a lot of work on preparing the background and it makes for a nice easy read, especially for me as a non-medical person. Cheers, Rachel

Hi Rachel

Thanks so much for your reply.  Your rubic sounds great and I don't have one.  I would appreciate it if you can find it or if anyone else has something that could be helpful.  For me it is great to see them on the discussion board without worrying too much about the quality but if I could measure the quality somehow it would be really helpful for the evaluation process.  I hope your plan is going to time.  They are a lot of work.  Cheers and thanks, Louise

Hello Louise,

I've been using this forum rubric which is basic but might provide some ideas that might help you get started. I hope it helps!

By the way, love the wiki you've created!
