Meaning of particular sentence

Jump to: navigation, search

The following sentence is the first sentence in the 2nd paragraph of the section, "The legal framework to share knowledge freely". I'm not clear on the meaning of the first phrase. Is there a word missing?

"The individual activities associated economic, namely the right to use, reproduce and adapt creative works can be licensed individually to third parties."

Thanks, Alison

I made this post during the last workshop. Just thought I'd reply as a way to re-open for discussion.

Thoughts?

Sorry Alison,

An I missed the earlier comment. I've made an edit on the main page which I think addresses your question. Take a look.

Yes, in reading it today I thought it was economic "rights". I think there is also a preposition missing. I added "with".

The individual activities associated with economic rights, namely the rights to use, reproduce and adapt creative works can be licensed individually to third parties.

Thanks for the confirmation, Alison
