Any closing comments on the Team Charter before I prepare the 3rd Draft and distribute to all?

The Charter looks good. The document i have here dosnt have any content under 13.3 and 13.4 If there is a newer version with contents there, then its ok with me.

These areas will be inserted and I will use work done by team members from the assignment contribution.

Yes Hermanus, it should be possible for me. Appologies for the delay, i practically didnt realise i had such a detailed write-up to do (my fault). I have sent through a draft zero via email at this moment. See if i am on the right track so i finish up by moro.

Consideration of Resources, Victor any questions other than what was just posted before?

My main write up (as circulated incomplete and in draft zero about 15mins ago) deals mainly with the Human Resources we have. I wrote about our

diverse backgrounds,
stated strengths (as per charter)
stated weeknesses/shortfalls

and then tried to do a balance between the to under the sub-heading leveling. My questions are:

Is this on course
Should i include other resources (like our ability as a team to create this wiki platform and use successfully?)

Another important point, we would like to reshuffle the official roles, with the following people as substitues for different roles:

Assistant project leader: Jeremiah

Assistant IT: Hove

Do you agree with these roles?

No for assignment group 2, can you take the lead as project leader, but for the overall group structure, I am assigned as project leader, and I would like your assistance as substitute group project leader

Yes these are for the part 2 assignmentsa. If you remember we agreed on the Team leaders roles back at the study school and then we did not know Jeremiah & Utang were aour team members. is planning and scheduling just for this module or for the whole MBL 1 assignments?

No it is for the whole year's module. only the section of project performance refers to the first assignment done.

it is for this assignment and to be handled by Taurai and Utang

sorry iam asking questions, i still need to come to terms with project management.

risk management in excuting the assignment or risk management as a group.

It is all risk that has an influence in preventing the team from continuing and reaching our end goals as listed in the team charter.

Hi Akachi, the risk management is for achievieving the entire MBL1 this year. It will mainly focus in we as a group will deliver. We will look at the opportunitties, this is how we will leverage our strengths and also at the challenges we are facing as a group to deliver the MBL1. Hermanus I hope you're referring to project performance. If so just one question.

How exacting should we be on our shortcomings...these are many of these. I don't want to shoot ourselves in the foot. Secondly, we may spill over into 4 pages...hope this is not a problem

Shumi, yes there we quite a few problems project management wise in the first assignment. But i do think that we have started to make some inprovements and will carry on doing so, that is the goal of project management.

You need describe this process and where we are inproving.

I also seem to be heading toward more pages than was aloccated. Was still planning to do some graphics but may reconsider.

Please do not be concerned about going over the recommended amount of pages, any additional info can be added as appendices. If you read the lecturer's comments on previous assignments you will note that it is more about content than specific page numbers.

about the role of secretary, is there a format for submission of the minutes to EDS? also, this question is for victor, i need small tutorial on data stroge on wiki

Akachi, please see the minutes template that i sent to you yesterday. I also sent through the previous minutes, that will give you a good idea of what to do

sorry akachi, one last comment, you do not have to spend to much time with the minutes, just ensure that the general idea of each point was captured.

Actually, just a resolution (descision) minutes. We always have the full details from this page as a permanent verbatim record to for reference if need be.

Akachi, you can actually store (upload) a variety of date/resources on this wiki. I have created a space/page/link for that. However, since this wiki is a public one, the data may become a permanent record (unless i request deletion from the server). The EDS is thus the best palce to upload all official records of the group (as in the Charter).

But i can definitly take you through uploads for your wiki skills development.

Thanks Shumi for this. I dont know why he should fail to log in. Has he forgoten his password or his username? He should perhaps take into consideration that these are case-sensitive. Perhaps he can create a new account or get in touch with me to talk this through.
