Formula formatting

I would like to use LaTex to make the formulae look a bit more standard. Being new to wikis, I waded in and did a bit of editing in the Forces page with the F=ma stuff without starting a discussion. Anyone have a problem with this? Example instead of Fnet = m*a we can have [math]F_{net} = ma[/math]
