Introduction to eLearning tools

Topic eight

Topic seven discussed the concepts and values of blended learning. We looked at some of the research that showed that a blended approach, if done well, can be more effective than either purely face to face teaching, or an entirely online method. The opportunities that digital technology can add to the blend are clear - but that requires us, as teachers, to achieve some competence with a range of digital tools. This topic will introduce some of the more commonly used ones, but it is important that we remember that they are only tools. The most important part of the equation is still the relationship between the learner and the teacher.
