I've added to the glossary the licenses that are encountered in the repositories section. I've considered simply defining each part of the license "CC," "BY," etc., rather than cover a few of the licenses.

My first reaction is to keep file formats where they are. I understand that the thinking, though, of putting it in the glossary. It would enlarge the glossary significantly. Another option would be to put it in as part of the appendix (before the permission/restricted access/full copyright/traditional copyright/all rights reserved repositories).
