This is just a suggestion, I was thinking about doing something like this before my group and I chose a different experiment. When I was thinking about doing something with food, I thought that maybe doing some sort of survey where the students fill out different food/health questions. This could be some kind of handout or extra discussion information, but your experiment looks great as it is!
