What is history of ECCD?

Early Childhood

Hi:

It's nice to know that I can communicate with someone from India. I am from Belize and presently the coordinator of an Early Childhood Stimulation Center. Our children ages range from three to four. The reason is because at age five children begin primary school. For us preschool is preparing children with the necessary skills and attitudes that they will need in primary school. The following is what I got online.

Please read:

Early Childhood - Enhancing the quality of young children’s lives is now a national and international priority. “Expanding and improving comprehensive early childhood care and education, especially for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.” is number 1 goal of the Dakar Framework for Action (2000) on ‘Education for All’ Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programs help to improve school performance as well as reduce dropout and repetition rate, which ultimately reduce cost and improve efficiency of primary education. It also has a long term impact on country’s education, health, moral and social values and children’s development as a whole.
