Lions unfortunately I do not have updates on this assignment. You have all seen the email from Shungu, I could not get hold of her on phone, I have sent emails and hope she will respond when she is back from the remote areas of Malawi wher she is on an assignmnet--Luisaserra 16:48, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
do we have the luxury of time to wait for her to come back? i think your team should have another look on her leading the assignment, probably either you or shumi should lead the assignment.

yes, i completely agree with you but can we afford to continue waiting for her. we have to remember we scored very low on the 1st assignment, so we need to make up with this one
can't say i'm suprised...all i can say is if she doesn't give us an expat response marks are going...

we were a bit overwhelm with the strategy assignment, we have not made much progress on this yet. we have estimated to get it out of the way this week and make headway on this one

It does not mean we haven't done anything. We have done theoretical work only so according to us we can not applaud that and report that we have done a tremendous job. Do not worry we will be there.
we look at the question, come up with a framework on how to answer the question and then each member is given a section of the question to research and come up with an answer and it has worked wonders in the past, and we not only an email away but also a phone call away...thats how we do it. for us to come up with a framework we all need to have a good understnding of the content required to answer the question. it just so happens that there are volumes to read for the strategy assignment, but no need to panic yet.

Come to think of it. Luisa, Victor, Shumi & Shungu are expatrait managers, can we solicit responses from them on the assignment.
We are still waiting for your responses guys. The sooner you send those responses the quicker we will be able to send the 1st draft.
WIP, but can we interview our group members? since they fall within our sample.
Great Idea Akachi....but I worry that we may not give "natural" reponses as we know the question and may give biased answers. I think a stranger to the 923 assignment would do better

Akachi, I also thought of that because I am struggling, my boss is on leave and I sent him an email but up to now no response. But i believe the idea is to get not group people to reply to that after reading the books but to get an opportunitty to analyse a person on that situation that is not under the SBL assignments, that is my thoughts, Lions your comments.--Luisaserra 16:31, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

please read the comments from the lecturer on eds with regards to using information which is not contained in the published reports. He is of the opinion that the info in the Risk manager's report should suffice.

- The assignment is underway
- SBL has moved the due date forward from the 29th to the 5th. That came as a big surprise...but we’re doing our best.
- Inspite of information delays, we are working our hardest to get a draft to the Lions by Wednesday for an evaluation.

I spoke with Marianne explaining to her the challenges in getting the info in Uganda, she told me to put it on an email. We still do not have the 2009 annual report it was not available on the stock exchange library. We are going to Ugnada Clays on Wednesday, waiting confirmation on Monday to visit.
