Szaszian theory

Szaszian studies have to do with the ideas and writings of psychiatrist Thomas Szasz who was professor emeritus at State University of New York Upstate Medical University. Psychiatrist Thomas Szasz wrote and published about thirty-five books related to psychiatry and human rights.

His first major book was The Myth of Mental Illness. Thomas Szasz co-founded a human rights organization Citizens Commission on Human Rights. Thomas Szasz supported the separation of psychiatry and state.
