Recommendation 33. We recommend that the Government consider whether SNUP specifications should include high-quality wi-fi coverage in the upgrades provided to schools.

Comment: As in general subjects most connection will be tablets using HTML wi-fi is the preferred way to give connectivity. It is also the cheapest – so why not get on with it?
The specifications for the wiring and routers/modems can be standardised and bought in bulk at the national level or through panel procurement. Each ordinary classroom requires a wi-fi point, connectivity for the teacher’s device, a projector and/or for a dynamic whiteboard. --Ian Mitchell FIITP 00:02, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
