Programs aimed at addressing gender inequality in Namibia

Since independence a number of conferences have been held to address gender inequalities issues in Namibia. First Namibia attended the Beijing conference of 1995, aimed at discussing ways of integrating fully into the UNESCO’s planning, programming, implementation and evaluation of gender mainstreaming practices

Two national documents guiding gender policy has been drawn and published by the department of Women’s affairs as a result of the Beijing conference namely
