PRE-REQUISITES
It is advisable to have taken Year 10 Option Music and students must have had at least two years instrumental tuition.
CONTENT
This performance course includes:
- Solo and group performance
- Composition
- Aural skills and score reading
- Musical knowledge
ASSESSMENT
Total 30 Level 1 credits using Achievement Standards. Internal and external assessment will apply.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
This course leads on to NCEA Level 2 Music. Thereafter to other music courses at University or Polytechnic
