PRE-REQUISITES
A satisfactory level of basic Japanese Year 10
CONTENT
This is a continuation of the Year 10 Japanese course which is based on Japanese in the New Zealand curriculum. Students will study levels five and six Japanese in Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji, while learning further culture and social aspects of Japan. Students are required to read and write Japanese in Kana (Hiragana, Katakana) and some Kanji.
ASSESSMENT
Total 24 Level 1 credits, all Achievement Standards with 14 internally and 10 externally assessed.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES:
Year 11 Japanese is an important pre-requisite for Years 12 and 13 Japanese.
