PRE-REQUISITES
A satisfactory level of English, preferably at Pre-Intermediate level
CONTENT
This course is for students from non-English speaking backgrounds, and contains activities in all language strands – written, oral and visual. Students can achieve standards for NCEA in both English and ESOL.
ASSESSMENT
Both achievement and unit standards apply, including the 8 literacy credits required for NCEA Level One Certificate. All standards will be internally assessed.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Progression to NCEA Level Two
