DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY 101 - DGT101

PRE-REQUISITES
Completion of Year 10 Computer Studies. Special consideration will be given to others in some circumstances after consultation with Course Tutor and Head of Department.
CONTENT
The course develops knowledge and skills using applications for both personal and vocational use and will cover the following areas:
- Digital Information Concepts
- Digital Media
- Construct a computer program
- File management
- Spreadsheets/Databases
ASSESSMENT
Achievement Standards are internally and externally assessed. Unit Standards are internally assessed.
COST
$20.00 for print credit (approximately)
FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
There are various pathways in Computer Science & Information at Year 12 and 13, the workforce and tertiary courses.
