Participants should consult the OERu Strategic Plan 2015 - 2017 when proposing operational priorities for 2016 and corresponding KPIs. Review the 2015 baseline data and 2017 strategic targets when proposing KPIs for 2016.

Goal 4

Foster innovation through pilot projects which demonstrate the viability and strategic opportunities for the OERu network

Baseline

Historically OERF and OERu has implemented small valuable pilots, including:Sel

• SP4Ed open boundary course model embedding a MOOC prototype with full-fee students studying in parallel with OERu learners.
• Selected to participate in the Google Summer of Code project to prototype peer evaluation
• Concept proposal to develop a credit bearing course on how to develop a portfolio.

However, these projects have not gained a critical mass of interest of traction from the network to date. TESC have donated a PLAR course, but no partners have stepped forward to assist with internationalising the course for different regions. This innovation is placed on hold.

Currently, there are promising discussions among 4 OERu partners to develop a shared mOOC in Culinary Arts focusing on menu design as a potential innovation prototype.
