Strategic goal

Improve processes for efficient OERu operations that underpin academic quality at scale

Strategic objective

Objective 1: Develop, implement and maintain operational guidelines for OERu quality assurance, credit transfer and course articulation

  • Focus: OERu quality guidelines

Key performance indicator(s) for 2015

  1. 10 courses which have developed in 2015 using the quality templates and communication tools (wiki development hub) developed by the Course Quality and Approvals Working Group in 2014
  2. Revise and publish v2 OERu quality instruments (quality templates).
  3. Develop v1 OERu quality guidelines that describe the process of approvals and the role of the quality instruments and the partners in ensuring quality courses.
  4. Review the early/pilot courses using the OERu quality review guidelies (modified version of the eCampusAlberta standards.)

Summary description

The quality instruments are in a good working draft stage. The priority is suppoting design teams in using them. This real-life use will in turn drive the kind of iterative improvement to the processes and instruments that we ultimately seek.
