[Day 1] 09.00

Introduction (Darren, Niki, Pete & Trevor): Welcome, Network Set up, feedback and expectations

  • Use laptop and/or desktop - bring a USB stick for transfering between the two.

Forum: Review of 2010 / Consultation for 2011

  1. Darren, Trevor and Pete: Restate the project vision and goals followed by Q&A (adjust the plan for the day)
  2. Showcase of teacher work on pilot module.  Identified teachers will present
  3. Reviewing the year: Open forum discussion on what has gone well and what hasn't.
  4. Considering our reflections, what would we like to see in 2011 for the project?  What changes?  What to remain the same?

Group: ePortfolios and our project

Focus Question: What is effective use of ePortfolios?

  • Guest Presenter: Mark Osborne, DP of Albany Senior High School who will show us what they have been doing with ePortfolios
  • Guidance of use of VLN Portfolio
  • Teacher work on VLN ePortfolio (some flexibility here)

Outcome: Project teachers have a clearer understanding of the use ePortfolios in the project

There will be tea/coffee breaks at 1030 and 2.30pm day 1 and 10/2.30pm on day 2

You will need to bring your laptop and also a USB/ flash drive to enable you to work between the wireless network and UC computers.
