The New Zealand Open Education Network (NZOpenEd) is a volunteer "community of practice" comprising educational leaders, practitioners, agency officials and interested people collaborating on harnessing the potential of open education approaches for the benefit of the formal compulsory and tertiary education sectors in New Zealand.

The NZOpenEd Network was established as an open community following the New Zealand National Symposium on Open Education (see report) in response to the release of the 2012 Paris OER Declaration at the UNESCO World Open Educational Resources (OER) Congress.
