My contribution in College Activities

For the last nine years in continuation, I am associated with the college as an active faculty member in the physics department. During this period I demonstrated ample initiatives and exhibited sincere and active participation in the various activities/events that had taken place in college. A brief summary of the same is given below for your kind perusal:

As “Chess Convenor” successfully organized the chess tournament in the year 1998-99 and 1999-2000. Functioned as “Councilor in Physics” for B.Sc. courses of IGNOU during the year 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 in Acharya Narendra Dev College and was involved actively in taking classes for both theories and practical during weekends and vacations. As an “Election Officer” conducted smooth and fair student’s union elections in 2000-2001. In November’2000, organized “Science Quest” (sponsored by UGC) in the college and also involved in preparing the in-house team. Acharya Narendra Dev College stood third in this competition. Actively involved in reviving the Physics Society in the college and the same was renamed as “Physentropy”. Worked as a student coordinator and guided the students in organizing one day physics festival in college. Was Convener for the same during 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2004-05. Involved in college women’s affairs committee “Sashakt”. Organised Self Defence classes in college campus for female staff members and girl students during 2003-04. Worked towards the safety of girl students in campus and outside the campus. As an active NSS Committee member successfully organized the blood donation camp in college campus this year. Also organised civil defence training for college students during autumn break. Effective 1st May’2005 holding the position of Teacher-In-Charge, Department of Physics, Acharya Narendra Dev College.
