# MathGloss/Z/Zeros of a polynomial

< MathGloss‎ | Z
Let $f(x) = a_0 + a_1x + a_2x^2 + \ldots + a_nx^n = 0$ be a polynomial of degree $n$.
A scalar $\alpha$ is said to be a zero of $f(x)$ if $f(\alpha)$ = 0
i.e. $a_0 + a_1x + a_2x^2 + \ldots + a_nx^n = 0$
