Tracking shot

Also known as a dolly or trucking shot, the camera is typically mounted on rails or a truck and follows a moving subject(s). (visual)


Examples

This shot shows two subjects running from the side. You can see closer wires moving past in the foreground.

Typical effects

Long shots are good for involving audiences in the action and the movements of a particular character(s).
