Find the value of x in the following:

1. 2^3x-1=4^x+3
2. 4^x+2=^x-1
3. 8^x=0.25

Solution

1. 2^3x-=4^x+3

• 2^3x-1=(2²)^x+4
• 2^3x-1=2^2(x+3)
• 3x-1=2(x+3)
• 3x-1=2x+6
• x=7

1. 4^x+2=<8x-1

• (2²)x+=(2³)^x-i
