Jacqueline Amanda Nyagahima is a Ugandan national. She graduated with a BSc. with Education (Maths, Physics),1990 and an MSc. Mathematics (Computer Science, 2000), from Makerere University Kampala, and has just completed an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, UK, in 2008, through ‘ study at a distance’ . She has extensive knowledge and experience in information and communication management and technology (ICM/T) issues in 10 Eastern and Central African countries Burundi, DR. Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda. This she gained from 8 years at the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA),working first with the AfricaLink Project, and later with the Regional Agricultural Information Network (RAIN). She played a major role in the planning and establishment of the Information and Communication unit of ASARECA, which she is currently heading. She is also a member of the taskforce for the Regional Agricultural Information and Learning System (RAILS) programme of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA).
