Key decisions and action items

  1. Reviewed action items from the 3rd meeting underscoring the priority for the team to "chunk" sub-pages of the learning pathways with notes of what to include on each page so Carol can populate drafts for review.
  2. Emphasised the importance to keep a transparent and regular record of progress and activities via our project group list on groups.oeru.org, and Kanban board in addition to our fortnightly web calls.
    • This is important for Carol to keep abreast of project developments who is currently based in the UK.
    • Agreed that Ray would post a succinct summary of our regular sprint session at Otago Poly on project group list to keep Carol informed of progress.
  3. Status update
    • Ray confirmed that video vignettes for each of the learning pathways for IPM103 have been recorded and Pete has shared links to members of the OP team for review of the drafts. Ray noted a few minor improvement tweaks.
    • Ray and Pete to connect to resolve Manager access on the OERuniversitas youtube channel for uploading the final versions.
    • Assessment: Ray shared that he is making good progress on a meta-structure for the final assessment.
      1. Confirmed that the individual learning challenges embedded in the learning pathways are sub-components of the final assessment.
      2. Agreed that the OERF team will work with Ray to implement transclusions so we have a single-source of the assessment text for the learning pathways and assignment sections of the course site.
      3. Confirmed that Ray is hoping to have the individual assessment component pieces completed by Friday 28 October for the first all day sprint session.
    • Unable to verify status of course outline summaries to be published on the oeru.org.site - Phil was not at the meeting.
  4. Clarification of work approach
    • Discussed the preferred work approach for our team noting that Carol is not able to progress without guidance from the team.
      1. SMEs and OP team members should identify the learning pathways and sub-pages for each learning pathway.
      2. For each of these sub-pages, team members should provide succinct notes of the required readings and ideas for WENotes, activities, forums and resources etc. if applicable.
      3. Carol will assemble a first draft of the learning pathway pages in the wiki for review by the SMEs.
      4. We will use issues.oeru.org (an open source issue tracker) to log and keep track of review recommendations and outstanding items.
  5. Project timeline
    • Stressed that the project must be completed by year-end as the Foundation cannot carry over contract expenditure for learning design into the new year.
    • Shared revised Project schedule dates noting the sequence of the next micro-courses and target dates for completion.
    • Agreed to incorporate the "all day sprint" dates into the schedule. Done --Wayne Mackintosh, OER Foundation, New Zealand (talk) 04:53, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
  6. Next meeting
    • 5th meeting of the IPM international project team is scheduled for Tuesday 15 November, 9.00am NZDST.
