Welcome to Global Issues: Concepts and Challenges! This module provides an introduction to the course, and helps set you up for success.

All modules in this course adopt the same format, to help you easily navigate your way through. First, there is an outline page for each module. It contains a green box, which identifies the things you need to do to complete the module, followed by extension activities you may also choose to do to complete the module.

Next to each activity is a button to press, that takes you directly to that activity. When you have completed the activity, simply press your browser's back button to return to the outline page. If you are confused at any point, simply return to the outline page to reorient yourself and remind yourself of your progress, and what you may still need to do to complete the module.

  • Note: Students enrolled in Global Issues as part of the Graduate Certificate in Global Citizenship may already have completed some of the activities below. These students must still read the Course Outline (Activity Four) and sign up for some blogs and tweets relevant to Global Issues (Activity Two) before moving onto Module One. They are also encouraged to review their Essay Writing Skills (Activity Three).
