Summary

Description Lapita shell necklace found at excavations at Bourewa, Fiji directed by Pattrick Nunn, 2007-2008. Bourewa is believed to be the earliest (founder) settlement in the Fiji Islands, and dating from around 3050 cal BP (1100 BC). Note the shape and the four fine holes drilled in each corner.
