Re-examine your first essay (the one that summarized and analyzed your TEDTalk) in light of your annotated bibliography and your manifesto. The fundamental question you are trying to answer is: how do your research and manifesto change the way you understand the subject of your TEDTalk?
While this paper must include material from your first paper, it is not a commentary on the success or failure of the first paper. Rather, you must revise the essay to reflect your greater knowledge of the subject and make a point. Like the manifesto, this essay should be argumentative and engage forcefully with the subject of the TEDTalk. However, the manifesto must be moderated by the research to appear more scholarly. Carefully consider the older material and assess its value to this paper. Be sure to edit the older material so that it aligns with the new context(s) created by your research so far.
You must discuss at least 3, and no more than 5, of the sources from your annotated bibliography and show clearly how they relate to the subject of the TEDTalk.
Differences are more important than similarities. Avoid writing about sources that simply reconfirm what we learn from the TEDTalk. At this point, you should be comfortable interrogating and challenging the talk--its presentation, its context, its logical progression.
Remember to think about the sequence of the materials in your essay. The order in which you discuss your sources should have a clear logic and reflect rhetorical practices that help persuade the reader that your insights are valuable.
Now that you have been introduced to, and become familiar with, numerous on-line tools and guides for proper citation format, you are expected to have perfect formatting for this paper.
