Educational management

Educational management refers to the application of management principles to education.

(Lotun,L:2001;Educational Management, Mauritius, MIE). These management principles, derived mostly from the corporate sector, were adapted to education. The wide range of research carried out in education over the past years have led to the development of theories(http://cnx.org/content/m13867/latest/) of educational management. Educational management has evolved to become a field of study in its own right. Universities are awarding degrees in the field and educational management has now become a requirement for becoming a Headmaster or a Rector in Mauritius.
