The triangle of life controversy

Most agencies advise "drop, cover and hold on" during an earthquake. Doug Copp is the author of an email that is being sent around the world. He tells people "directly opposite of what we've been taught". He says that "Most everyone who simply "ducks and covers" WHEN BUILDINGS COLLAPSE are crushed to death. People who get under objects, like desks or cars, are crushed." This is confusing. If you are trying to make up your mind, make sure you decide whether the information source is trustworthy or not.
