EDUCATIONAL SURVEY

PRIMARY EDUCATION There is only one govt. primary school in Baisnagar© for primary education. It was constructed around 3 years back. The details of the school is as follows- Name of the school - GOVT. PRIMARY SCHOOL, BAISNAGAR VIKASKHAND, VIDISHA No. of male teachers - 03 No of female teachers - 02 Total no of boys - 80 Total no of girls - 60 From the survey, it is found that the status of education in the villages is very poor. Neither parents nor children are interested in education. There are only two schools in both the villages. There is lack of teachers in the schools, e.g. only five teachers are there in the school of Baisnagar and the total strength of students is 140. Most of the children are 5th pass as there is no higher school in the village. SECONDARY EDUCATION For education above 5 class students go to Vidisha. In Vidisha they study at NADWANA HIGH SCHOOL which takes about half hour by walk. AANGANBADI There is one aanganbadi running in the village from Monday to Saturday. Its timing is from 0900-1200 hrs. There are two lady teachers — Kusum & Babita — working in this aanganbadi. EDUCATION STATUS The education level in the village is very low. Girl education is not given importance. “ Girls are generally educated up to 5th class. Even boys are educated only up to 8th class. There are only one or two students who have completed their school education & that too boys. There is no 12th pass girl in the village. Even the l2thpass students are working as labourers. Also the aanganbadi has not been working properly for the past one month. REASONS MAJOR CAUSE — Low income due to which parents can’t afford the education investments. Parents don’t want to send their girls to Vidisha for higher secondary education.
