=Washington Odongo Ochola= is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Education and Extension, Egerton University - KENYA. He holds a PhD in sustainable agriculture and rural development. His fields of interest include sustainable agriculture and rural development, agricultural information and communication management, agricultural and environmental systems assessment and reporting, scenario (future) studies and participatory technology development. He has done research and published in the following areas: agricultural extension impact assessment, livelihoods and rural innovations, gender and agriculture, ICT for sustainable agricultural development, climate change adaptation, scenario building for policy analysis and ecosystems change among others. He has authored several book chapters and journal articles. He is also a reviewer for leading refereed journals. He has been a lead author in a number of international assessments processes including the UNEP’s Africa Environment Outlook and Global Environment Outlook as well as the World Banks, International Assessment of Agricultural Science and technology for Development [http://www.agassessment.org%7C(IAASTD)%7C. He is currently a global trainer on scenario and policy analysis for integrated agricultural/environmental assessment and reporting. He has strong facilitation skills and has facilitated a wide range of workshops and project development internationally in scientific and proposal writing, web 2.0 tools, international assessments, curriculum development, participatory technology development, ICT for university training and research collaboration, participatory monitoring and evaluation (PM&E), as well as project design, monitoring and evaluation.
