most DSM diagnoses require that a human be experiencing personal distress or occupational problems to be diagnosed.

so.... if someone is not experiencing occupational problems, then what would have someone experience personal distress?

some might argue that one will not experience personal distress without /specific/ PROBLEMS in living occuring.

one might argue that to be experiencing personal distress, one must be experiencing SOCIAL or OCCUPATIONAL problems. - - - if there WERE NO social or occupational problems, then there would be no personal distress...
