Efforts were diverted into AfricaSource 2 - 8 to 15 of January 2006 (Kalangala, Uganda) - which included an education track. The main focus of that track was migration to FLOSS in education.

The Kalangala event was most memorable in terms of the whole experience, interacting with a diverse mix of people in an Africa, and in terms of the knowledge sharing which may continue beyond the event.

A cool thing to do would be to take the learning at this event forward into other learning resources on WikiEducator (and elsewhere) concerned with FLOSS migration and use in education.
