Sue has responsibility for the reseach area of interaction and communication with virtual learning. This micro level theme considers the individuals who provide and use the distance education system/s. Major issues identified include learner characteristics; communities of practice and interaction, communication within these learning groups.
2. Virtual Worlds Working Group
This is a group of academics that meet regularly (approximately monthly but more often if there is a need) to discuss collaboration in a virtual worlds. There are currently 22 members from the following Australian insitutions:
- University of New England
- Charles Sturt University
- University of Southern Queensland
- Central Queensland Univeristy
- Griffith University
- University of Queensland
- Curtin University
- Australian Catholic University
- Deakin University
- Univeristy of South Australia
- University of Sydney
- Swinburn Institute of Technology
