Java applet

JPEG (joint photographic experts group)

A JPEG image file
A common image file format, often used on web-pages and digital cameras and mobile phones. It has the advantage of providing clear images while compressing the image so that it takes less space on disk and downloads more quickly over the internet. JPEG files have the extension "jpg" or "jpeg", for example, "WE08.jpg".
