1.3.1 Lesson 1: Invasion of Sind by the Arabs

Introduction


Student have learned about the conquest of India by the Muslims. This conquest was achieved in three phases. The first phase was the Arab conquest of Sind. At that time Al-Walid of the Ummayyad dynasty was the Caliph of the Islamic world. He ruled from 705A.D. to 715 A.d. Dahir was the king of Sind and Multan of Indian sub-continent during this time. The Arab empire was then stretched up to his Kingdom. For various reasons the Muslims invaded Dahir’s Kingdom and conquered it. How ever the student learn in this unit as bellows.
